Earlier this week I hinted at some big news and major announcements. It is with that in mind that I write this blog
First I want to announce that I am no longer working with Topsailstar Pet Center. I want tot thank Barry and Valerie Reid. I have enjoyed the last six years working there and we built something special. They have been a class act with me and I wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
However, like most partnerships, I felt it was time for me to move on, improve and grow. It is with that in mind I make the following announcements….
I want to announce the formation of the “Ken Reid Newfoundland’s Dog Whisperer Training Program”
Yes, I am bringing things to the next level and invite you all to join me.
This training program will be unique. It will be training done the way it should be!
The program is based in force free training methodology using evidence based theory and positive reinforcement training. It is a new approach to training classes and one I cannot wait to start.
Of course, I will still offer basic, advanced and masters level obedience training BUT the training will be modified. It will be more grounded in dog psychology and behavior science.
It will also be a lot of fun.
There will be new courses added.
I will now be offering a puppy foundations course and a “my dog is awesome course”.
I am excited to offer these courses and feel they will be great additions to my training program.

I also want to announce that I have formed a new partnership with a brand new facility, A Dog’s World Inc. Jodi Rideout and Jessica Short have been doing some great work. Many of you have seen their daycare videos and pictures. I have worked extensively with both in the past in a variety of roles. I admire the work they are doing. I will be teaching classes out of their facility. Check them out at Dog’s World Incorporated.
So with all of that in mind, I want to announce the start of our new classes. I am now accepting names for our first Basic Obedience Course. The course will start October the 6th at 7 with additional slots to open. Contact me at 685-2851 or drop me an email to register.
