Wnat a more challenging course for you and your dog? This is the program for you.
Our advanced obedience course moves beyond the basic obedience skill set. The same skills will be covered in this course as were completed in Level One, however the emphasis is aimed towards getting a loose leash and eventually an off leash heel. Skills will be practised from greater distances using bigger distractions focusing on the use of training sequences and manipulating training perimeters. We delve deeper into operant conditioning, reinforcement schedules and proper handling techniques.
The course is done at the owner/dog team’s own pace.
Some teams progress faster than others in certain skills. This is very normal. It is a challenging course, with part of the course being taught outside.
Upon completion of this course, the owner/dog training team should be well on the way to achieving a loose leash and even an off leash heel. Recall when encountering bigger distractions and bomb proof stays are very achievable.
This is an eight week course (once a week for an hour) with prescribed homework assignments every week. Video logs are kept and shared. Cost of the course is $275. Prerequisite for this is our Level One Basic Obedience Course.
