While in the My Dog Is Awesome Course, there is an obedience component involved, this course is focused on good manners and exposing your dogs properly to problem situations and stimuli.
The My Dog is Awesome course is a great preparatory course for anybody considering having their dog partake in such activities as; therapy dog services, good canine citizenship and good canine neighbour testing. It is a fantastic course for people who are dealing with subtle anti social and skittish behaviour with their dogs. The My Dog is Awesome course is an excellent introduction into behavior shaping and modification.
The course will focus on skills such preventing a dog from jumping on people, accepting treats nicely, accepting praise, being handled, and overall polite behaviour especially in public situations.
This is a six week course (once a week for an hour). Cost is $250. There will be weekly homework and assignements to complete
It is a challenging but very enjoyable course. You and your dog will love it!
Participants in this course must have completed our Basic Obedience Course as a bare minimum prerequisite.
