Similar skills are covered in our Masters program as in the Basic and Advanced courses but the emphasis is placed on working your dog from even larger distractions and greater distances, achieving a text book loose leash and off leash heel. Most of this course is taught outside.
Learn how to recall your dog from a distance and stop them mid-stride. Back up your dog from a distance. Long sit and down stays in demanding envrironments are practised.
The Masters Course is a very demanding course. Owners are expected to work extensively and consistently with their dogs. We will be delving deeply into training sequences and heavily manipuating training perameters. A thorough understanding of capturing, modeling, luring and shaping is expected before you enter this course. Use of proper reinforcement schedules, bridging reinforcers and marking is going to be imperative to success.
This is an eight week course (once a week for an hour). Cost is $275.
Prerequisite for this course is our Advanced Obedience Course.
At the completion of the course, owners should be on their way to mastering an off leash loose or off leash heel outside in a high distraction environment.
